Sunday Post #431: Birthday Weekend

Welcome to The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer, where I talk about what is going on in life and the blog, and show you all the bookish things I got that week!

What I've been doing:

It was my birthday this Friday, and while I didn't do anything exciting that day, on Saturday I went out to breakfast with two of my brothers then in the afternoon I hung out with one of my cousins who was in town. We went out to dinner, did some shopping, then watched a movie! It was a nice day, if socially exhausting. Lol This whole week at work was a lot. While the children aren't exactly crazy, they definitely drain my social battery by the end of the week. Speaking of which, Friday morning as soon as I got to work, one of the kids came up to me to show me the ugly sweater she made...

🤣🤣🤣

What I've been watching:

On Saturday I finally watched Beetlejuice Beetlejuice with my cousin and I really liked it! It was fun!

What I've been listening to:

"This song is about something or someone in your life BLEEDING YOU DRY. Now it's not actual blood, it's your energy, your soul, your everything. The music industry is like that to me sometimes, some people demand so much from you, it leaves you with ABSOLUTELY nothing. But we can't let that happen right? Sure we make mistakes letting some people close, but we can't let them drain us. We stay who we are no matter what :)" -Unlike Pluto

  2. Happy belated birthday! That Write Your Own Cake book looks good, that is an author I still need to read. The Bleed Me Dry bit is exactly what I'm dealing with at work and trying to make it so I don't let that happen. Here's hoping it is a good week, and I loved that ugly sweater drawing, lol!

    1. Thank you! Omg you definitely need to read Jennifer Estep's books! She writes the best urban fantasies! Well, fantasy in general. Lol. I totally get you on the Bleed Me Dry song. One thing I like about Unlike Pluto is that his songs are always super relatable. I really hope things get better for you 🖤
