Top 10 Books I Wish I'd Read in 2024
It's the end of the year which means it's time for all the end of the year posts! These are my absolute favorites! First up are some books I wish I would've read this year but didn't because my mood changes faster than I can keep up with. Lol. These are all 2024 releases.
I was really looking forward to reading Shadows of Truth because the last book ended in such a cliffhanger! And I actually have the book from the library right now so I may end up squeezing it in before the year is over. But no promises. Lol.
I have been trying to catch up on Lynn Painter's books but I only managed to read one of her adult books this year. I do have to be in a very specific mood to read contemporary romances, so I'm not surprised I didn't get to this one. Maybe next year when the mood strikes!
And Dreadful just sounds like a fun fantasy! I just bought this book in October when I went to Powell's, and it is also on my End of the Year TBR. I don't think I'll get to it before the year is over, but hopefully soon!
Such Charming Liars sounds like such a good mystery thriller! And if it's anything like One of Us is Lying, I know I'm gonna love it! (Though I do need to finish that trilogy still sooo 👀😂)
I Was A Teenage Slasher also sounds like a good one! I think it's in the POV of the killer, so that is very exciting!
Full Speed To A Crash Landing is a sci-fi I just discovered recently! It sounds fun though!
And the Village Library Demon-Hunting Society also sounds like a fun one!
I love nonfiction books about horror! I had American Scary on hold at the library for a while back in October, but it always takes them a long time for the books they ordered to arrive. I haven't even checked to see if my library has it yet because my mood was like, "Nah, I don't want to read that right now anymore." 🙄 Lol. But when the mood returns, at least I know my library will have it!
If you read my Monday posts, you'll know that Spellcaster Wildcard has been on my currently-reading shelf for MONTHS now. I only managed to read like 100 pages before my mood, again, decided that it didn't want to read it anymore 😠Being a mood reader is SO annoying because I love Nikki Jefford's books and I liked the concept of this one! Maybe next year 😞
And last is a new Thor graphic novel! I didn't discover this one until recently as well, otherwise, I would've requested a copy from Netgalley, but I totally missed when it released!
Let me know if you've read any of these books and what you thought of them! Also, let me know what books you were wanting to read this year but just never got around to.
Happy Holidays! 😊
Great list. Full Speed To A Crash Landing is on my TBR. I've heard good things about it. Happy Reading!
