Sunday Post #434: Sorry Not Sorry For The Long Post

What I've been doing:

This is what my week has looked like:

Nothing but playing Sims and trying to survive this menstrual cycle from hell 🫠 It's a good thing I'm off from work at the moment 😅 In other news, Christmas was good otherwise! I made some chocolate peppermint cookies and they were a hit! Even my brothers liked them, which is shocking because they don't have a sweet tooth. Lol.

And in the second picture you'll see the gifts I got! Lots of Bath and Body Works 😂 But I love it! Lol. I also got a cute Christmas mug which is great because I have about 100 Halloween mugs and now I have ONE Christmas mug 😂

And from the kiddos at the school where I work, I bought some of these chocolates from a couple of them for a fundraiser they were doing.

What I've been watching:

I watched ALL the Home Alones! Well, not all... only the good ones 😆 I'm not a big Christmas movie watcher, unless it's these three! Lol.

What I've been listening to:

This week we got not one but TWO Pluto songs 😭

What I've been playing:

I'm gonna apologize in advance because this section is going to be LONG. I've been playing a lot of Sims and took a ton of screenshots. This week I mostly played with my legacy family, and the first thing I had to do was have a funeral for my Sim's mom who died 😭 BUT here's a fun twist: Her dad freaking DIED AT the funeral!! 😭😭😂 I can't with this game. The drama writes itself.

 

So here is the poor girl leaving the funeral looking all miserable (though it was actually exhaustion from lack of sleep.) And the day after we had another funeral for the dad. No more Sims have died since then (so far 😭😂).

 

She visited her parents at the cemetery a couple days later, and on the left side of the first screenshot, one of her little brothers was there! And then something that made me laugh as I was zooming out, were these people napping on the fountain in the middle of said cemetery?? 😂

 

So, my second-generation heir, Bria (the one with the recently dead parents 😭😂), is an astronaut and some of her goals were to complete some collections including the space rock and the alien collection, which you can see below. And in the second screenshot, the family is just having a bit of fun with some fireworks during a holiday... though the parents look a bit worried, which is fair 😂

 

These are the three kids, the third generation, and their dad in the back playing the piano. Oh! When I was giving the oldest son's room a makeover I gave him The Chair! I thought that was fun! We all have A Chair, don't we? The one where we just pile clothes on? It's not just me? Right? 😂

 

And here are the twins all grown up! In the first screenshot they're just hanging out with their uncle, and in the second one one of the twins won prom royalty! Omg the jester 😂

This first screenshot below made me laugh so hard because they're at the prom after party and the kids are celebrating her win and she just looks SO done 😂 But it's only because she was tired. Lol. So tired she apparently went to sleep with her crown still on 🤣

 

And here we have the girls aging up to Young Adults, thus officially starting the third generation of this legacy challenge.

 

I'm doing the Pack Legacy challenge where each generation revolves around a different pack, and the third generation coincides with the Get to Work pack, so the oldest brother is a scientist, the twin with the shorter hair is a doctor, and the other twin is a detective! I'm so excited to get started on their stories and careers! I'm also working on their house because I'm going to be moving them out soon!

And then this weekend I spent a lot of time just looking around at custom content for Create A Sim... I seriously have a problem with CC 😅 But I found so many cute things! I actually made a Sim specifically for trying out the CC and she turned out SO cute! 😍

My entire inspiration for this Sim was those cute pants in the first and second outfits (same pants, different swatches)! I love them! And all of her looks are just CC... except for the third outfit. The purple top is from the High School Years pack. Lol. But everything else is CC, from her hair and makeup to her shoes. Lol.

 

I also gave her a twin sister and an older brother to try out some more CC, but I didn't take nearly as many screenshots of them. Lol. (The suit the brother is wearing isn't even CC though. It's from the Get Together pack which I just got! Oh yeah, I just bought two more packs this week during the winter sale! 😅 It's a problem, really. Lol.)

I got a festive holiday read and more excitedly...

I got my latest Cassie Clare Kickstarter book! Ah! I was SO happy to get this! This actually came on the day after Christmas, so it was perfect timing!

Omg Matthew 😍 I love him!

And this is such a pretty book!

Even the hardback is gorgeous!
