Sunday Post #488: Trying to Stay Afloat

Welcome to The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer, where I talk about what is going on in life and the blog, and show you all the bookish things I got that week!

What I've been doing:

It was a rough week, and I only worked 3 days 😭 I'm told I'll be training a new nurse, so hopefully that will help, and maybe they will be able to do some school days, because those are difficult. Luckily, next week I only work two days, so I'm really looking forward to all that time off.

What I've been watching:

Still watching Law & Order. I've made it to season 3 now! It's a really good show to have on in the background while I'm doing other stuff.

What I've been playing:

So in last week's Sims 4 drama, I found out that my Super Sim was pregnant, and I was not ready for that 😭 But we are gonna go with it. At the last minute, I decided to turn her into a mermaid. I wasn't going to because there aren't any aspirations or skills that involve mermaids, but there IS a milestone when you manifest into a mermaid, so I went for it. And I also thought it would be fun since her husband is a vampire, now there will be a 50/50 chance their kid will either be a vampire or a mermaid. And here she is below sleeping in her pool. Look at how cute she is with her pregnant belly! Me trying to stay afolat these days like my mermaid Sim here 😭😆

The pre-parental freakout always makes me laugh 😂 Meanwhile, she's just fine, eating breakfast before she gives birth... TO FREAKING TWINS! Why does this always happen to me? 😭 (One is a vampire and the other a mermaid, so that's fun, I guess. Lol.)

Luckily, her mom called and said she would come over to help out with the grandkids, so that was really helpful. And she actually did help! She stayed for almost a week, which is basically the length of time the kids are in the infant stage.

Randomly, one guy called to say how cool it was that she became friends with her own son who was literally just born, and who this guy doesn't even know 😭😂 And then my Sim's VAMPIRE husband got a bucket list item that wants him to go hang out in sunny Oasis Springs?? Are you trying to kill him, game? 😭😂

The infant stage was ROUGH. But only because infants are still super bugged. But we made it through the stage (I may have cheated once or twice with my mods 👀), and I just aged them up yesterday!

And look at how they aged up 😭 They look like little old men 😭 The autogenerated outfits and skin details are WILD!

I gave them a makeover, and look at how cute they are! The dark-haired one is the vampire, just like his dad, and the other is the mermaid!

I just moved the family to the house I built in Mexico that was meant to be the house plan for the house my parents want to build over there. I'm excited to play-test it!

I'm also still playing ACNH!

I actually started building my island again, because it was half done. I'll try to remember to take screenshots for next week. (Also, my punk girl Cherry did not appreciate Purrl telling her that her fashion sense sucked 😂 As someone who likes punk rock--omg Green Day is going to be at the Super Bowl! YAY!-- I was on Cherry's side 😆)

  1. I started playing Animal Crossing again since you mentioned the hotel! I've decorated 2 rooms in the hotel so far. Will probably do a 3rd today. The residents on my island told me it had been over a year since I'd visited, oops! lol. I love all the cool Sims stuff, really wish I had a machine to play it on. Maybe some day. Jealous of your days off! Hope you have a good week!
