Looking Back at Books I Wish I’d read in 2024 & Anticipated Books of 2025

Today, I want to take a look at the books in my Top Books I Wish I’d Read in 2024 list and the Top Anticipated Books of 2025 and see if I actually read any of those books in the last year. I always do this because every year I tend to roll over those books from those two lists onto my TBR for the next year, but this year it seems like that didn't really happen, so 🤷‍♀️

These are the books I wish I'd read in 2024, and in 2025, I ended up reading 4 of them!

These were my most anticipated books of 2025, and I read all but 3! Not bad! I always tend to do better on this list. Lol.

And this last set of books comes from a post I did in the summer, my anticipated books of the last half of 2025. There's a little bit of overlap with the last list, but overall, I didn't do too bad!

I really enjoy looking back at books I was hoping to read or books I was anticipating and seeing whether I read them the following year. It's especially interesting because I'm a big-time mood reader. Overall, I ended up reading 18/31 books, which is 58%.  Not great, but it's also about 5% MORE than I read last year! Lol.
