I loved the premise of this book! The crazy girl with the dead twin sister who talks to her + friends cursed by some other evil ghost... um, yes please! I just love ghost stories! But beyond that, I loved the characters in this book, their backstories and their interactions. I particularly loved the dynamic between Mace and Lark. Once upon a time, Mace saved Lark from herself, now Lark must save Mace and his friends from this terrible curse. I totally shipped these two from the beginning... it’s a shame he already had a girlfriend ;) But, okay, I also really liked Ben ;) And the sisterly relationship between Lark and Wren was also great! It’s quite a unique situation they’re in.

I was very intrigued by the concept of Japanese mythology--I LOVE mythology but have not read much about Japanese mythology in particular. Unfortunately, not much mythology (that I could tell) was intertwined in this novella, which is understandable since it’s only a prequel.

I loved, loved, LOVED this book! There are so many things that I love in this book, that's why I loved it...if that makes any sense at all. The two main things:

1.) Mythology! I LOVE mythology! And although Greek is my favorite, I really love ALL types! And this book? It involved Egyptian mythology, which, ahem, may be my second favorite type of mythology...just sayin'.

The Goddess Queen (Hera) - I really liked this story. I thought the bickering between Hera and Zeus was kind of amusing, but really, talk about a dysfunctional family! I have to admit, Hera has never been one of my fave Greek gods/goddesses...she's always so vengeful and stuff! But in this short story, I kinda felt bad for her. I can see where her rage and bitterness comes from (*cough* Zeus *cough*). But dude! Seriously? She goes from bitter to just plain crazy in the 2 previous books!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am IN LOVE with mythology! Any mythology: Norse, Roman, Egyptian, etc. But my favorite is Greek mythology! I cannot emphasize that enough! I just find it really interesting! So when I found this book I was like, "Yes, this book I HAVE to get!" And I really, really liked it! I loved the mythology behind it (duh), and I actually liked Aphrodite in this book! Let's just say that Aphrodite is not one of my favorite goddesses, but I really like her in The Goddess Test. This was a surprise to me, lol.

All Miranda wanted was to be cast as Juliet. So after tryouts, just to be sure that she would get the part in the famous Romeo and Juliet play, she did a little spell. The spell was supposed to be a harmless. It was supposed to get Miri the role of Juliet. It was not supposed bring William Shakespeare's younger brother Edmund back from the past! But it did. Now Edmund is stuck in a future with weird contraptions like the car, TV, and cellphone...yes, these things amaze him, which I find pretty hilarious!

In this short story, the town Charlotte now lives in is experiencing a storm sooo bad that there is a flood. But the weird thing is that coffins start to float down the street during the flood…pretty creepy, eh? lol. Anyway, Charlotte and her family (and her crush Noah) volunteer to help clean up the mess of coffins all over town. But they soon discover that these are no normal coffins. No, these coffins hide secrets, secrets that could potentially put Charlotte and her friends in danger.

Charlotte's parents have a very interesting job. They go around the world in search of "haunted" places, they film, then from the gathered info they make documentaries. But they don't exactly go hunting for ghosts...its more like, they go to these "haunted" place to try and debunk all the weird stuff that has been going on. They usually find some logical, scientific reason behind the "paranormal" activities. Usually.

But the students aren't exactly welcoming or nice in her new, fancy, prestigious, school. Though she is inexplicably drawn to one particular (and gorgeous, I might add ;)) guy, Brendan.
