I have been loving Julia Huni’s books! She just writes really fun sci-fi books with lovable characters! In her Colonial Explorer Corps series, Siti and her friends/colleagues, well, explore planets. Lol.

Her dad is a famous explorer they call the Hero of Darenti Four because he discovered the first intelligent life in the galaxy. It was a pretty big deal. Throughout the series, we hear about this mission and I have always been so curious about what happened when he found the extraterrestrials! Well, this prequel goes into just that!

The prequel was in his POV and we follow him as he explores the planet, runs into the aliens that live on the planet, and we see how he saves these guys and becomes the Hero of Darenti Four. I really enjoyed this! It was nice seeing all this firsthand and how Siti’s dad became the famous hero he is now.
