Synopsis: They knew cheating would be risky. But they never thought it could be deadly. When Shelli and her friends cheat on their college placement test, they think they have just secured their future. Until Shelli's best friend, Jennifer, threatens to turn them all in. Now they must prevent the truth from being revealed. And they will stop at nothing, even murder... But their plan backfires. And they suddenly realize that they are the ones in danger!

My rating: ★★★★☆

The premise of this book was not my favorite. I mean, these guys are cheaters, so it was gonna be really hard for me to feel sympathetic when bad things started happening. And I was right.

One of the friends, Jennifer, felt really bad about cheating so she wanted to go to the principal and tell him what happened. But the other friends got super upset and offended, and one of them even blamed Jennifer for “being in this mess”—a mess that involved them planning her murder!!

Oh, please. Like you didn't buy the test and cheat in the first place. Ugh.

How did this happen? she wondered. One day we're a bunch of friends hanging out together. The next day we're a bunch of friends planning a murder.

It was messed up. But I was into the story way more than I thought I would be after reading the synopsis! Why? Because all the friends started dying off instead of Jennifer.

I’m sorry, but they deserve it. Lol. And the plot twist at the end? I really enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this! Honestly, the kids had all that terribleness coming to them, and I enjoyed every second of it 😆 I ended up really liking the story and the switcheroo that happened. Plus, I really enjoyed the supernatural element to it. I always love when these books have a little something supernatural to them.

The Fear Street connection: Not mentioned, but I presume one of the kids lives on Fear Street?
