Synopsis: A devastating accident. An artificially intelligent prosthetic that makes her sleepwalk... A series of murders.

Lena hates her parents’ tech company. The world worships each cutting-edge CyberCorp release, but Lena has her doubts. Machines that think for themselves? She doesn’t trust them... So when a car accident lands her with the company’s first cybernetic arm, she’s pissed.

A glitch in the arm’s artificial intelligence makes her sleepwalk. Meanwhile, children of CyberCorp employees start dying in their beds, and thanks to her unwanted nighttime strolls, Lena has no alibi.

Is she a target? A suspect? Lena literally can’t sleep at night until she proves her innocence—or her guilt.

My rating: ★★★★☆

I got this book as a freebie from Amazon and it's always nice when I find a gem among all the freebies I’ve acquired. As was the case with this book! I really enjoyed it!

Lena's in a terrible accident, and when she wakes up in the hospital, she finds that the accident was so bad that they had to replace one of her arms with a robotic one. All of that would be traumatizing to anyone, but Lena in particular is not a fan of technology, which is kinda funny because her parents own a pretty big tech company. The tech company that gave her her new arm, no less 😬 So all of this made for a very intriguing story. Especially after her arm starts glitching and she starts sleepwalking at the same time as people around her start dying in very unfortunate ways. Lena then tries to figure out if she's next, or if it's her and her glitchy AI arm killing these people. It was insane!

I really loved the premise of this book with its murder mystery and the sci-fi element. It was so good! Plus, I really liked the futuristic setting. That was fun! And the tech was really cool! I mean, we got Lena and her arm that functions thanks to an AI chip, we got AI androids developed by her parent's company, and this EyeNet thing that sounded really cool. This was definitely one of my favorite things about the book.

I liked the characters for the most part. I really liked Lena, but some of her friends could be interchangeable, to be honest. Hunter though, I loved him! 😍 He was really funny and he and Lena had their sweet moments. And omg he has a dimple! 😍 I love a guy with dimples, I don't know why 😆

But I really enjoyed this book! The story and mystery were intriguing, the plot twists were surprising, and the characters were interesting overall. I liked that Lena had her own thoughts despite her parents owning this massive tech company. And I loved Hunter, of course. I really hope there won't be a love triangle in the future, cause I hate those, but we’ll see. In the beginning, I didn’t really like Jackson, but I gotta be honest and say he wasn’t that bad later on. I still prefer Hunter though. Lol. The book had pretty good action too! It got really violent, and you know that I don’t mind that one bit 😆 And I, of course, loved the sci-fi element and all the cool tech. Now that Lena has the arm though, I'm curious to see how her stance on technology shifts, if at all.
