Synopsis: With no way out, she’ll face a pissed-off artificial intelligence and two killers…

Lena’s ready to put it all behind her. She helped catch two killers who used CyberCorp to commit murder, and starting right now, she vows never to set foot inside the company’s headquarters again. But when those killers show up at CyberCorp Tower to confess everything they’ve hidden, Lena can’t resist seeing justice done.

As she steels herself to confront them again, decommissioned androids go berserk inside the headquarters, forcing a lockdown. Lena is trapped inside not only with the killers she brought down—but also with the dangerous technologies she fears.

Can Lena escape, or will she die inside CyberCorp Tower?

War of Flesh and Metal is the thrilling conclusion to the YA science fiction Flesh and Metal trilogy.

My rating: ★★★☆☆

I have been really looking forward to the finale of this series, so I was very excited when I got an ARC of the book! And overall, I liked it!

One of my favorite things about this book was that it took place mostly in one day, AND it was mostly set in CyberCorp Tower. The issues with the androids just won't stop, and unfortunately, Lena finds herself at CyberCorp when a couple of androids go crazy and the building is forced to shut down, essentially trapping them all inside. It gave it this sort of locked room mystery vibe, especially after a murder in the Tower was discovered, and I really enjoyed that! And because it took place in one night, it made it feel very fast-paced. I just really liked this aspect of the book!

As for the murder mystery and the issue with the androids, it was intriguing. We finally find out who was helping Ron and who was actually behind the defective androids across the entire series. And let me tell you...

It was insane, but it made sense! And it was also horrifying! But I enjoyed the story! I also liked the action and Lena kicking android ass, especially at the end. That was so good!

I, however, was not a fan of the romance. I liked it for the most part in the last two books, but I am not a fan of love triangles and I do not like where this one ended up. And then the way two side characters just so conveniently ended up being paired together? Not into it. Although I could see why Lena ended up with who she did, this second pairing made no sense to me. But honestly, this is probably just a me issue and me being sad that Lena didn’t end up with who I wanted her to 😂

But overall, this was good! The story was interesting and I loved the world and technology. I definitely recommend this series if you’re wanting some YA sci-fi goodness!
