Synopsis: Will it finally be curtains for the demonic Mr. Gabriel in this climactic chapter of the Evil Librarian series?

After sending the evil librarian, Mr. Gabriel, back to the demon world once and for all at theater camp last summer, Cynthia is ready to enjoy a completely demon-free senior year of high school, especially once she learns the fall musical will be Les MisΓ©rables. She can’t wait to create the most incredible barricade set design in all of high-school theater. And her boyfriend, Ryan, is sure to land his dream role of Javert. But down in the demon realm, an epic mishandling of Mr. Gabriel’s essence leads to his escape — and soon he’s gathering strength, bent once again on revenge against Cyn and everyone she loves.

My rating: ★★★★★

If Cynthia thought she was through with Mr. Gabriel, boy was she wrong. It turns out the demon librarian is gathering his strength in the demon realm to come and exact his revenge on Cynthia. Oh, and on top of that, there's a curse abound! 😬

This book was so much fun! I really enjoyed the journey—or I guess the road trip to hell πŸ˜† Or was really cool exploring this place as they battled all these awful demons. And you know who they run into again? Mr. Gabriel's little brother! He kinda grew on me—He was very endearing... and dense πŸ˜† I loved him!

I also loved how all of Cyn's friends wanted to help and wouldn't take no for an answer πŸ˜† I particularly loved Annie! She was amazing in this! She was conniving and smart and helped save the day. It was great!

One thing I wasn't a fan of was Cyn still dreaming about Peter? Wtf is that about?? Do not like. This love-triangle-but-not-really thing going on was not it. Even though I like him. But that's probably just a me thing. Lol.

I really enjoyed this! It was such a great series! I love the characters, especially sassy Cyn and charming Ryan. The book was really funny and I enjoyed all the mythos. And those demon fights were intense! I loved it! Even though the end is left open enough for more, the ending wrapped things up nicely and satisfyingly. I'm going to miss this series.
