As soon as I knew of this book’s existence I bought it and read it immediately! It’s been a while since I last read a choose-your-own-adventure-type book, but this was so much fun! And the fact that it takes place in The Lunar Chronicles universe and is about getting Cinder to her wedding with KAI...
According to the author, this isn’t really canon, but it was still a lot of fun to read! Especially considering that all of Marissa Meyer’s other books made an appearance. And when I say all, I mean ALL.
It was amazing! (I do recommend you read all the other Marissa Meyer books you don’t want to be spoiled for you, just in case. At the very least read Heartless, because otherwise, it will be absolutely spoiled!) We obviously got the entire cast of The Lunar Chronicles, but we also got a cameo from the Renegades, some fun scenes with the crew from Instant Karma, Gild being an endearing menace, and Serilda telling the kids some stories. But by far, we spent the most time in Wonderland from Heartless, and I didn’t mind it one bit because Wonderland is such a fun and wacky world! Though to be fair, I have loved all of Marisa Meyer’s books. Lol.
Seeing Cinder interacting with all these different worlds and characters was very cool! Cinder fighting the Jabberwock and Serilda telling the kids a story about Cinder and the kids wondering what the heck a cyborg is are only a few of the incredible crossover scenes we got in this book.
I would love to tell you about every single thing I loved and every option you could take, but honestly, you should read it yourself! It was just so well done and so much fun! Personally, I explored all the options as I went. I would pick one thing but then I would double back and read the other option, and somehow without trying, the last chapter I landed on was the wedding 😭 It was too perfect! (And no this is not a spoiler because it’s literally in the title 😆 We’re getting Cinder to her wedding! And it was so sweet! I loved it!)
I loved the concept of this and it was overall an enjoyable ride! I had fun exploring all the different options, and it was really cool to see Marissa Meyer’s characters from different series interact with one another. I highly recommend this book if you’re a fan of The Lunar Chronicles!
