Synopsis: A space adventure set on a lone ship where the clones of a murdered crew must find their murderer—before they kill again.

It was not common to awaken in a cloning vat streaked with drying blood.

At least, Maria Arena had never experienced it. She had no memory of how she died. That was also new; before, when she had awakened as a new clone, her first memory was of how she died.

Maria's vat was in the front of six vats, each one holding the clone of a crew member of the starship Dormire, each clone waiting for its previous incarnation to die so it could awaken. And Maria wasn't the only one to die recently...

My rating: ★★★★★

I was so excited to read about a murder mystery in space, and this book absolutely delivered!

The book starts off with a group of clones waking up in a new body after being murdered and no memory of what happened. But they soon come to realize that one of them is the murderer.

I loved the setting on the spaceship as well as the way this world was set up with clones and mindmaps (basically the memories that are moved from one clone to the next). The sci-fi part of this book was just-

It was an intriguing world for sure. But more than that, there was some interesting commentary about clones and just human life in general, which I found very fascinating.

And the mystery... omg it was SO well done! It kept me guessing till the end and the plot twists were just so good! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time because I truly had no idea who the killer was or what their motive might be. But things really came together in the end. It was just so interesting because the characters were more interconnected than you first anticipate so it was very cool to see how those puzzle pieces fell into place at the end.

Speaking of the characters, I really liked how flawed they were. They had some really interesting backgrounds and sad backstories, and it made things that much more interesting. I even liked the AI called IAN. He was sassy! Lol.

This was just so freaking good! The premise was great and the execution was even better! The mystery kept me guessing, all the freaking plot twists kept me on my toes, and all the unexpected connections blew my mind! I liked that the characters were flawed, it made them very interesting, and I really like how things wrapped up in the end. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more books by this author!

This books sounds perfect! Not only is the summary so fascinating, the way you described it makes me wanna read it even more 😍

What's even better is that I've been slowly making a list of sci-fi thrillers/horrors that I wanna read during autumn and this would be the perfect addition, so thanks for making my TBR even larger!
