Simon and Clary both act as their witnesses, so they can see what a parabatai bond forming looks like as they want to become parabatai as soon as Simon graduates — and because Emma asked Clary. The ritual goes unexpectedly...
The Fiery Trial... that is what the ceremony is called when two Shadowhunters become parabatai. And Emma and Julian are about to go through it with Clary and Simon as witnesses! How cool is that? But first, Clary and Simon have to go on a... trip. That’s the best way to describe it. Lol. It was very trippy, but there was a purpose to it all. Lol.
We got a lot of familiar faces in this story, which I am always a fan of. We saw Clary, obviously, but also Magnus and JEM!
“It was like that with my parabatai, Will. I never had to ask Will what he was thinking. In fact, it was usually better not to ask Will what he was thinking...”
Jem talking about his relationship with Will 🤣 If it isn’t true though 😂
This was a great short story! It was interesting and I enjoyed learning more about parabatai and the ceremony they go through.
