I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to review this book, I’ve had it for a while and I am constantly using it to bake stuff. Anyway, I love it! I’ve tried many of Ro’s recipes, be it from the book, her website, or YouTube channel, and not one has failed me yet! They’ve all been great!
Some things I want to try that I haven’t yet: I’ve tried to make Swiss buttercream frosting before but it never turns out. However, I haven’t tried her recipe yet. I also want to try homemade pasta and pizza with marinara sauce. That sounds SO good! I’ve never made homemade pasta, so I’m a little apprehensive. But I will definitely give them a go one of these days.
And some of my favorite recipes from the book: First of all, the Fourth of July Star Scones. These are SO freaking good! I usually make mine only with strawberries, but one day I’ll try them with the blueberries too. I also don’t cut mine into star shapes... I just do regular old triangles. Lol. But they’re good so it doesn’t matter. Lol.
I’ve made the Maple Pecan Blondies for family gatherings, usually around Thanksgiving, and they’re always a hit! This is another of my favorites!
And last but not least is the Confetti Pancakes. These buttermilk pancakes are SO good you won't want to make the ones that come from the box anymore! I’ve actually never made them with the Funfetti part, just because I never have sprinkles on hand, but even without them, they turn out SO good! This recipe has a perpetual bookmark in it. Lol.
The book is divided up into sections, by holiday or season, hence Baking All Year Round lol, so you can literally find a recipe for any time of the year and for any occasion. There are also some very helpful conversion charts in the back... which I always happen to need every time I use butter 😆 Plus, there are templates in the back to make the decorations. But yeah. I love this book and I trust Ro and her recipes!
